Eric and I are constantly commenting about Asher's 'looks'. He can really give you some odd and/or comical looks. This is just one of them.
Madeleine found a little hair clippy and went into the bathroom. Out she came with her hair pinned up. I got a few photos of her "hair-dos". She was in and out probably 15 times with different styles. So cute!
This was so hilarious. Madeleine was up in her room (quietly) and came down dressed like this! Mind you, it was in the middle of the day and was over 90 degrees outside. What children can think of on their own!! :)

We're Back!!!

Yes, it's been a VERY long time. Val, I can just see you saying, "Finally!!" I am hoping that I can do this on a regular basis to keep you informed on the 'goings on' of the Olson household.

Eric took the older ones to the store, so I quickly hopped on the computer to get these few pictures up! :)

We are doing well. Baby Aviela is wonderful. Her older brothers and sister love her to death. Asher is always wanting to touch her and give her kisses (such a difference from Christian!). We'll see if this changes. Christian and Madeleine are always wanting to hold her and usually ask about her the first thing in the morning.

I am loving having Eric off of work. I'm not quite sure how things are going to pan out when he has to go back to work. It's going to be interesting.

So, enjoy the few pictures below. And I promise to do my best to get more on soon!!!

Baby Aviela

Aviela Joy Olson! 1 day old.
She was quite swollen from the birth and had HUGE cheeks. They (her cheeks) have gone down since. We still can't figure out who she looks like. I don't think she looks like her brothers or sister, but only time will tell.

Here she is, 2 days old, under the bili-lights at the hospital. She had to wear that funky eye wear. It really didn't seem to bother her.

The kids just can't resist baby Aviela. They always want to hold her or touch her!

I love how her legs are folded up underneath her. I just had to take a picture.

Big Sister and Brother love their 'Baby Asher'.
Little cutie. He's such a good boy!
Baby Asher - 6 days old.
Here's a close up of Asher Lucas at one week old.
This photo was just taken today at one week old! It's been hard catching him awake. But here he is - Asher Lucas!!

Retreat Photos

I didn't get a chance to explain what the following pictures were from. Our church planned a family retreat at a wonderful retreat center called Tillikum Retreat Center. We had a great time. And the kids really enjoyed being there. Probably because they were out in the country with animals and water and freedom!!! So, in our free time we could go boating, take walks, play games, swing on that BIG swing, fish, etc. etc. These are a few photos that I took or a friend, Heather, took. She was actually the main photographer because she LOVES taking photos!! :) :)

View overlooking the lake at Tillikum Retreat Center

Here's Eric up in the air on the BIG SWING. I can't remember how many feet in the air it goes up....maybe 200 feet. Something crazy like that!!! But most of the kids and adults LOVED it!!!
This picture will probably be a little fuzzy, but it's Eric on the BIG swing. Of course, I couldn't swing being 7 months pregnant. But I'm not sure that I would have wanted to anyways.
This is an old schoolhouse that the retreat center had moved onto their land. It is really cute.
